Xavier grew up on the sandy beaches of Long Island, New York. He studied English literature at Stony Brook University and split his summers between working odd jobs to save money and traveling throughout Central America in search of perfect, uncrowded waves.
After college he attended Harvard Law School. On a whim, he enrolled in Harvard’s esteemed trial advocacy workshop and fell in love with trial work. During the program, he got to learn directly from attorneys who had represented a number of high-profile clients including Aaron Hernandez, the family of Michael Brown, and Daniel Ellsberg, and he realized that he wanted to spend his career in the courtroom advocating zealously on behalf of his clients.
After graduating from law school Xavier went to work for a big law firm in New York City. Within a year he and his wife realized the big city life wasn’t for them and decided to move out west to lead a quieter life closer to the outdoors. His wife had spent a few summers growing up visiting family in Central Oregon, and they decided that Bend was the perfect place to settle down and eventually raise a family.
Xavier’s practice areas include family law, criminal defense and estate planning.
In his free time he enjoys climbing, backcountry skiing, surfing, and running long distances in the mountains with his wife and their beagle, Otis.
